"Pile of Rocks" is from the mountains of Southeast California.
"Escaping the Heat" is from a photograph taken at a rest stop in Arizona.
"Texas Plateaus" is from a rest stop in the Texas hill country.
"Lonely Palm" illustrates the first palm tree the artist saw atop a mountain on the way in to San Deigo.
