This painting is an oldie, but a goodie. I created this piece back in 2021 after a road trip with my family to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Driving through the Smoky Mountains was such a breathtaking experience, especially as someone who grew up in Florida. The terrain changing every mile you travel, your ears popping as you drive uphill on twisting mountainside roads, made the sudden appearance of mountainside towns ever more magical. This scene is from a reference image I took from the back seat of my dad's pickup truck while driving through the mountains. I was just tickled to see bits of the manmade world existing in this otherwise pristine wilderness, and was so inspired to immortalize it.
