I have always loved blueberries, and picking my own blueberries. It's an activity I have taken part in nearly every springtime since I was in middle school. I took the reference images for my Blueberries series in April of 2024, though, after going blueberry picking with my dear friend, Emma, and her mother. We picked blueberries at Double C Bar Ranch in Osceola County, FL (which I would highly reccommend as they also have blueberry jams, hand-pies, and lemonade; they also have burgers that are not made of blueberries, but rather, the cattle they raise on the ranch), and on this bright, sunny day, the blueberries were warm in your hands and even juicier in your mouth.
